Le Scene Universitarie per il Teatro in Carcere
Michalis Traitsis regista e pedagogo teatrale di Balamòs Teatro, direttore artistico del progetto teatrale Passi Sospesi negli Istituti Penitenziari di Venezia: “Itinerari artistici tra università e carcere e possibili scenari futuri”.
Uno degli elementi principali che ha caratterizzato fin dall’inizio il progetto teatrale Passi Sospesi negli Istituti Penitenziari di Venezia diretto da Michalis Traitsis, regista e pedagogo teatrale di Balamòs Teatro che dirige anche i laboratori teatrali al Centro Teatro Universitario di Ferrara, è stato l’intento di un confronto e di uno scambio di esperienze tra gli allievi del Centro Teatro Universitario di Ferrara e gli uomini e le donne recluse degli Istituti Penitenziari di Venezia. In varie occasioni i diversi gruppi hanno lavorato separatamente su un unico allestimento e poi si sono ritrovati in alcune occasioni all’interno del carcere, in altre all’esterno, in un tempo anche esso ristretto, a mescolare voci, suoni, movimenti, gesti, a sintonizzare energie, a smussare angoli, a cooperare insieme per un progetto comune, lo spettacolo teatrale.

University Scenes for Theatre in Prison
Michalis Traitsis, theatre director and pedagogue of Balamòs Teatro, artistic director of the theater project Passi Sospesi (Suspended Steps) at the Penitentiary Institutes of Venice: “Artistic trails between university and prison and possible future scenarios”.
One of the main elements that distinguished from the very beginning the theatre project Passi Sospesi, directed by Michalis Traitsis, who also leads the theatre laboratory at the Centro Teatro Universitario (University Theatre Centre, CTU) in Ferrara, was the intent of encounter and experience exchange between the students of the CTU in Ferrara and the inmates of the Penitentiary Institutes of Venice (male and female). On several occasions, the different groups worked separately on the same staging and then met to finally work together inside the jail, or sometimes outside. In a very short time, they had to mix voices, sounds, movements, gestures, to tune the energy level, to blur edges, to cooperate together on a common project, in order to reach a common aim: the stage performance.
